The bookings for the Maruti Suzuki XL6 are based on the dealership sources and there is no word from the manufacturers. Of course, those who give their money in advance will be given a priority.
One of the highlights of the XL6 is said it will be sport a 6-seat layout and the car will get all-black interiors to make it distinct from the Ertiga. The MPV will be sold through Nexa dealerships only and will readily get Blue shade seen on the Baleno, Ciaz, Ignis and S-cross.
Talking about the design of the XL6, it gets a revised front fascia with new headlight design with LED DRLs integrated inside. The car also gets a new grille up front with two chrome slats and the company’s logo.
It also gets redesigned bonnet and front bumper which now gets skid plate. The MPV also gets body cladding all over the body along with blacked-out C and D pillar. It also gets a new alloy wheel design along with wing mirrors.
The overall height of the car is increased and the dimensions are the same as the 7-seater Ertiga. The car also gets roof rails, redesigned rear bumper with skid plates and the XL6 badging at the rear.
Talking about the interiors then it will ditch the dual-tone theme for an all-black and the higher trim are expected to get faux wood inlay. The second row gets captain seat instead of bench seats and is expected to carry premium upholstery.
Feature onboard will include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. The top-spec variant is also expected to get automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and wipers, cruise control and height adjustment for the driver’s seat.
Safety features on the MPV present on the MPV will be dual front airbags, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, reverse parking sensor, high-speed alert system and front seat belt reminder.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 will only come with a 1.5L petrol engine which also gets a mild hybrid, SHVS. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and most likely a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as well. You can expect a minor fall in performance and fuel efficiency as the XL6 will certainly weigh more than the Ertiga.
