Mercedes-Benz S500 and S63 AMG Coupe Launched
Mercedes-Benz India has seen tremendous growth in the luxury car segment in India posting a very impressive 41% increase in sales. The German automobile giant promised 15 new product launches in India this year out of which 9 have already taken place thanks to the 3 new launches that took place on the 30th of July 2015. Mercedes launched the S-Class Coupe in India in two variants- S500 Coupe and S63 AMG Coupe. Along with these two models, Mercedes also introduced new paint shades for the G63 AMG under the ‘Crazy Color’ moniker. All three launches took place simultaneously along with the price announcement. As the name suggests, the car is a coupe version of the S-Class sedan which means its loses the rear passenger doors. It also gets a new rear end which get a treatment similar to the Mercedes AMG GT. The Mercedes S-Class Coupe is easily among one of the most beautiful cars in the world right now.

Mercedes S-Class Coupe India launch will take place on 30th July 2015 in the following trims-
- Mercedes S500 Coupe
- Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe

Prices were announced at the time of launch:
- S500 Coupe- INR 2 Cr (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
- S63 AMG Coupe- INR 2.6 Cr (ex-showroom, new Delhi)

Specs
The Mercedes S500 Coupe gets the same engine as the S500 sedan i.e. a 4.7 litre twin-turbo V8 which produces 453 bhp and a massive 700 Nm of torque. Quite obviously, the S63 AMG gets a bigger, more powerful 5.5 litre twin-turbo AMG V8 which produces 577 bhp and 900 Nm of torque!

The S500 Coupe will become the only Mercedes coupe on sale in India once it is launched and the S63 AMG will add to the German car maker’s performance oriented AMG line-up in India which already includes the CLA 45 AMG, E63 AMG, GL63 AMG, GLA45 AMG, ML63 AMG and SLK55 AMG. Both cars will be imported to India as CBUs or completely built units and will attract hefty import duties as well.
