Hero MotoCorpย first came up with the new 2017 Hero Glamour in January 2017. The bike made its first appearance in Argentina and went on to become the manufacturer’sย first-ever internationalย product launch. The new Glamour 2017 was later launched in India for a starting price of Rsย 57,755 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It has now come to light that the 2017 Glamour has beenย renamed to ‘Glamour SV,’. The new Glamour SV is on sale for a base price of Rs 57,755 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which means prices remain the same as earlier. The new Glamour SV benefits from Hero’s i3S micro-hybrid technology, which helps enhance the fuel mileage of carburetted version by 3% and of the fuel injected version by 7%.

Specifications of the Glamour SV remain the same as those of the 2017 model Glamour. This means that the new Hero motorcycle comes with a ย BSIV-compliant 125cc single-cylinder engine that outputs a max. power of 11.4 BHPย @ 7500 RPMย and a peak torque of 11 Nm @ 6500 RPM. In comparison, the older Glamour boasted a max. power of 8.7 BHP and a peak torque of 10.35 Nm. Hence, the new Glamour SV is as much as 27% more powerful and has 6% more torque. Thanks to the fuel injection, this engine is ready for even the BSVI norms that will come in effect in 2020.
