New 2020 honda Dio

Honda has put out a teaser of the new 2020 Dio scooter, stating that it will be launched soon. Besides a BS6 engine, it will also receive a tweaked styling.

Honda Dio was a turning point in the scooter segment for the youngsters. Bored from the plain-looking Activa, Dio came in as something sporty and youthful. Now, it has been over a decade in the Indian market, still attracting the young crowd.

Now, Honda has teased the new 2020 Dio scooter, which will be launched soon. Its time for remaining Honda scooters to get a BS6 compliant engine and Dio is next in line. It will get a new BS6 compliant engine, new features and some styling changes.

Going by the teaser, it gets refreshed LED DRLs and LED headlamps, new and sportier side body panels along with new colour options. The front portion looks similar to the outgoing model. Further, it could get more decals and contrasting dual-tone paint options.

Importantly, it will get the new 110cc BS6 compliant engine with Fuel Injection as standard. The motor will produce 7.79 BHP and 8.76 Nm of peak torque. Honda’s new Silent Start System will also come along with the new 2020 Honda Dio.

Mechanical changes could be the same as that on Activa 6G. The new Dio could get telescopic forks at the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the back. We are further expecting Honda to offer optional front disc brake on the top-spec trim.
