New Kia Seltos in High Demand, Gets two new variants that aim to reduce the waiting period for the deliveries
New Kia Seltos has garnered over 50,000 bookings in just 2 months! With this, Kia India has become one of the few carmakers to cross this milestone in the fiercely competitive compact SUV segment. Moreover, the local subsidiary of the renowned South Korean carmaker has even surpassed the 400,000 domestic sales milestone this month.

ADAS-equipped Versions of New Kia Seltos in High Demand
Overall, the carmaker has sold 547,000 units of the Seltos (domestic and export) since its launch. Out of the total bookings, as much as 77% are for the high-end variants (HTX onwards). A whopping 47% of all bookings have been made for ADAS-equipped variants. This is clear indication of an increase in demand for cars featuring modern safety tech.
Commenting on success of the new Kia Seltos success, Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India, said, ”Seltos has become one of the most trusted and comfortable driving experience for new-age customers. The design and technology flaunt factor combined with the car’s value proposition is hard to achieve and is a big reason behind its mega success. In response to the overwhelming demand, we have also optimised our production to keep the waiting period at a minimum so that our customers don’t have to wait to get their hands on their favourite SUV.”

GTX+(S) and X-Line (S) Variants Launched
In a related development, Kia India has come up with two additional variants for the new Kia Seltos – GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S). The two new trims plug the gaps between the premium HTX+ variant and the GTX+ and X-Line versions. The launch of the new trims is in line with the carmaker’s efforts to minize the waiting period. The highlight of the features list of the new Kia Seltos GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants include –
- ADAS Level 2 with 17 autonomous features
- 18-inch Crystal Cut Glossy Black alloy wheels
- Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold
- All-Black Roof Liner
- 6-speaker audio system
- Rear Camera
Please note that the new offerings miss out on the Bose audio systems and the Surround View Monitor. Both these premium featured are available on GTX+ and X-Line variants. Below are the prices of the new trims –
