The new entry-level performance motorcycle is aimed at young and enthusiastic riders
The all-new KTM RC 160 has been launched in India. The new motorcycle will attract young buyers with its impressive price tag of Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom. With this entry-level product, KTM expands its race-oriented RC portfolio across a wide range of potential customers. In order to ensure high performance, the bike carries precision handling, superior aerodynamics and performance-tuned components. For now, let us delve deep into the details of this enticing product.
New KTM RC 160 Launched
The new KTM RC 160 comes with a 164.2 cc liquid-cooled SOHC engine, which generates a healthy 19 PS @9,500 RPM and 15.5 Nm @7,500 RPM. What highlights its racing DNA is the high-revving engine with a 10,000 RPM redline. This mill pairs with a 6-speed transmission with assist & slipper clutch for smooth operation. The top speed is limited to 118 km/h. Furthermore, the bike boasts a full-faired sporty design enabled by a Trellis frame. It gets a sporty split handlebar and LCD instrument cluster.
Taking care of the ride and handling are the 37 mm inverted front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. At the front, the bike contains a 17-inch wheel with a 110/70 profile tyre, while at the rear, it gets a 17-inch wheel with a 140/60 section tyre. Moreover, the front tyre has a 320 mm disc, while the rear boasts a 230 mm disc. Enhancing the braking power even more is the dual-channel ABS with Supermoto Mode. There is a 13.75-litre fuel tank. Other features include a CAN-enabled electronic system, navigation support, all-LED lighting and electronic fuel injection.
