MG Motors has launched ‘MG Reassure’, a certified pre-owned vehicle dealership network that aims to benefit both the buyer and seller of used MG vehicles with great credibility and reassurance.

Its been just over an year since MG Motors started their operations in India and the company has already launched its own brand of used car retail network in the country. You might say that it is still early days for MG Motors to start an used car retail chain as there might not be enough old MG sellers yet. However, MG Motors aims to provide confidence to buyers of its used cars as well as new cars and has thus set up its own dedicated pre-owned network nonetheless. An early start will also allow the company to set up its systems and processes and also have them refined and ready as the market grows.

So how does this benefit the seller of an MG vehicle? Well, the MG Reassure program essentially provides people with the opportunity to sell their cars to company authorized outlets and also receive a fair price for the vehicle. MG’s chief commercial officer, Gaurav Gupta, claims that this latest programme will give customers the โ€œbest resale value of MG cars to customers across Indiaโ€.

We would also like to point out that with the ‘MG Shield Service and Warranty Programme’, MG Motors already has a buyback plan in place. By the terms of this scheme, new vehicle owners are assured a buyback of their SUVs after three years of ownership, at 60% of their original ex-showroom price for the Hector and Hector Plus. Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV will be brought back at 60% of their original ex-showroom value. This scheme however has to be opted-in by the owner at the time of their new vehicle purchase for a stipulated fee.

But more importantly, how does this Reassure scheme benefit the buyer of an used vehicle? Well, prospective used-car buyers will have the option to choose from aย selection of certified and refurbished vehicles. MG Motors says that the vehicles will be assessed on 160-plus quality parameters and will also undergo repairs before the resale. Moreover, these vehicles will also be covered with a 3 year/unlimited km warranty, in addition to 3 years of roadside assistance and 3 free services. Could you really ask for a better deal?
