Toyota Innova Off-Road

We are always excited to share something unique and there are a lot of such iterations online these days.

This is the off road-spec Toyota Innova that is doing rounds on the internet. Innova is the most successful MPV the country has ever witnessed. It was first launched in India in 2005. Almost 2 decades later, its prominent and demand is at an all-time high. This is a testament to the capabilities it possesses and how much people love it. In fact, at the moment, there are a few iterations of the Innova including the Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross. Essentially, it has become much more feature-loaded and premium than the last-gen models. This latest post captures a unique last-gen Innova. Here are the details.

The details of this capable and innovative MPV are scarce. But the visuals already relay a lot of information. For instance, there are colossal off-roading tyres installed on it. In fact, that is the prime focus of this model. To achieve that, it seems like the team has made a lot of modifications, which is necessary. Upsizing tyres can be done without making any changes to the other components up to an extent. But if such ginormous alloys are to be installed, a fair bit of customization is needed for other mechanical components as well.

These tyres have off-roading treads and are painted black with red inserts on the rims. One could also see the added side steps to enhance the ingress and egress for the passengers as it has been lifted a lot off the ground. The other changes that we think the team has made might include steering modification, added spacers between the body and the suspension to ensure that the tyres don’t brush against the body, modified suspension, brake enhancements, etc. These are needed to reduce the negative effects of such chunky tyres on the vehicle.

What We Think

We love a good old modified car, especially if done professionally. On the contrary, it can become an awful experience pretty quickly if the mechanics are novice and the car modification house has little experience. You must understand that too many modifications can have an adverse effect on your vehicle. Cars are not designed to tolerate such huge components beyond a point for a long period of time. Hence, mechanical failures can occur over a long period of usage if appropriate modifications are not made.
