It is fair to assess that things, currently, are not going according to plan for Ola Electric. In the latest incident, Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola CEO found himself in a bit of a mix up with the Autocar Editor, Hormazd Sorabjee.

The Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal was involved in a Twitter banter with the respected Autocar Editor, Hormazd Sorabjee. This happened when the latter tweeted about his less than 2-month-old Ola S1 Pro refusing to start one morning. There have been various issues plaguing the image of Ola which went on a marketing spree at the time of introducing its range of electric scooters in our market. Now, that same social media that caused the buzz around it, is coming back to haunt it. Check out the details of this latest spat between Bhavish and Hormazd.

As per the tweet by Hormazd, he mentions that he has driven his EV for less than 100 km and it has been less than two months since the delivery. But the scooter is giving trouble while starting up which is quite surprising. However, the Ola S1 Pro was towed away to the service station and fixed on the same day. Bhavish replied saying that no other big company can display such quick service action at a large scale and that the opinion of Hormazd smacks of bias against Ola. Hormazd mentions Autocar India’s long term review video of the Ola S1 Pro as a reply to Bhavish telling him that they have mentioned the pros and cons of the electric scooter objectively.

Hormazd clarified his stance and tweeted at Bhavish that it is not a matter of getting the EV fixed on the same day, but about ensuring that a brand new scooter should not pose issues, to begin with. He also pointed out the lax quality culture that prevails at Ola Electric which Bhavish might have taken offence to this causing him to reply promptly. While fixing Hormazd’s S1 Pro, Ola installed the latest MoveOS 2.0 software in it which resolves most of the software-related issues in the EV.
