In the latest tragic incident, a politician’s BMW kills a woman riding on a two-wheeler in Worli, Mumbai. The news has been going viral on social media. The news reports mention that the 24-year-old son of the Shiv Sena leader hit a couple on a two-wheeler. He was driving at high speed. In fact, the accident was so severe that he dragged the woman for around 100 m after the impact, leading to her tragic demise. This is yet another case of a spoilt brat taking law and order into his hands because of the power his dad wields.
Politician’s BMW Kills A Woman
The details mention that this crash took place at around 5:30 am. The deceased woman was identified as Kaveri Nakva. She commenced her journey with her husband, Pradik Nakva from the Koliwada area of Worli to Sassoon Dock to fetch fish. On their way back home, the speeding BMW of the politician hit them from behind. The bike toppled over and the couple was sent flying in the air and landed on the bonnet of the car. In an attempt to flee the scene, the politician’s son dragged the woman on the bonnet for around 100 m. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought-dead. The husband is undergoing treatment.
As per the Police sources, the car was driven by Mihir Shah, the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction of Shiv Sena, Rajesh Shah. Following investigation, Rajesh has been detained by the Police while his son is on the run. The BMW car was later found in abandoned condition in Kala Nagar. Mihir left the scene along with his companion Rajrishi Bidawat. Unsurprisingly, the Police report mentions that the accused drank at a bar in Juhu the night before. Hence, this could be yet another case of drunk driving and hit-and-run.

I am sure you must be aware of the recent incident where the son of a real estate tycoon killed two people with his Porsche. He was given the punishment of writing an essay and doing a little volunteer work. The nation was understandably enraged by this verdict. It seemed like the spoilt brats of influential people could get away with anything. Therefore, it would be very intriguing to see how our judicial system deals with this case. I shall keep an eye out for further developments in this case.
