Specs

The Indica was launched with the option of a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine. In the second version (V2) Xeta petrol, the total power output was a decent 70 PS and the fuel economy was 14 km/l. This version was re-engineered by the team after the first version received complaints for not delivering enough power and mileage. The car went on to keep selling until 2018. By then, the platform had already spawned millions of cars and the current generation of cars came into the picture. Today, Tata Motors consistently features as the third-largest carmaker in India in terms of monthly sales behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.
