Undesirable situations crop up on movie sets quite often, especially when stunts with cars or other automobiles are involved.
Tamil actor Vishal Krishna Reddy had a near-death experience on a movie set after a truck lost control and destroyed the set. Reddy is currently shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Mark Antony’. It looks like the movie might incorporate some dangerous stunts. We have seen myriad exquisite stunt sequences in Tamil cinema before. Hence, this was perhaps not the first instance of a stunt going wrong. But it came so close to being fatal. Here are the details.

Vishal Reddy Escapes From Truck on Movie Set
The entire sequence of events was shared by the actor himself on his Twitter handle. It shows a lot of people on the set including extras and the movie crew. As soon as the director says ‘action’ a truck emerges from behind and runs freely. The entire set is shocked at the turn of events and screams are heard in the short video clip. Reddy is busy doing a scene when he hears a commotion around him. He swiftly jumps out of the way of the speeding truck which ends up colliding against a wall with a loud thud.
With this video, the actor wrote on Twitter, “Jus missed my life in a matter of few seconds and few inches, Thanks to the Almighty. Numb to this incident back on my feet and back to shoot, GB [sic]”. He is clearly shaken by the entire episode and thanks God for his safety and well-being. The netizens expressed their shock by commenting, “Oh Gosh that looks terrible. Thank God nothing untoward happened. God bless you and the Mark Antony team.”

Another user wrote, “Wow, that was close. Hope nobody was injured.” While such accidents are not that uncommon if an action movie is being shot, it is rare for a stunt to go so wrong that the main actor gets involved in a near-death experience. That is why there are professional stuntmen who are able to gauge the risk better and have great reflexes to deal with any irregularity. We are just glad to see that no one was injured on the busy set.
