Renault has been driving sales primarily on the back of products like Kiger, Triber and Kwid

Renault customers in India can rejoice as the French carmaker announces a 3-Year/1,00,00 km standard warranty across the range. Not only that, it also offers the industry-best Extended Warranty Programme which extends to 7 years / Unlimited km. That could be a huge attraction for potential buyers. Not having the burden of anxiety pertaining to mechanical failures, repairs and replacement costs is bound to put customers at ease. Let us delve into the details of this case.

Renault Announces 3-Year/1,00,00 km Standard Warranty

Effective from January 1, 2025, the 3-Year/1,00,00 km standard warranty will cover all mechanical and electrical failures. Furthermore, this even includes defects related to material, workmanship, or manufacturing faults. This is part of the brand’s customer-first approach. Taking things a notch higher, Renault also launched an industry-best 7-year / unlimited km extended warranty package. It can be purchased anytime during the standard warranty phase. Finally, both these packages incorporate a complimentary 24×7 Roadside Assistance which covers accidental towing to elevate the ownership experience. The details of the extended warranty programmes fall under the Renault Secure initiative including:

  • 4 Years / 1,00,000 km (whichever is earlier)
  • 5 Years / 1,20,000 km (whichever is earlier)
  • 6 Years / 1,40,000 km (whichever is earlier)
  • 7 Years / Unlimited km

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO, Renault India, commented “Renault has a legacy of delivering innovative, reliable solutions that earn the trust of our customers. With the introduction of a standard 3-year warranty on all vehicles purchased in 2025, we reaffirm our confidence in the quality of our cars and our dedication to elevating the ownership experience. We understand the importance of peace of mind when making such a significant purchase, and this initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to putting customers at the centre of everything we do, ensuring every journey is rewarding and worry-free.”

My View

In this modern age, people have become increasingly conscious about ownership and repair costs. Hence, such initiatives could go a long way in ensuring that they get peace of mind. When almost everything is covered in the warranty packages, customers can use a car freely without the constant fear of something going wrong. We shall have to wait to see how well customers respond to this.
