Renault India to hike prices by up to 2% from April 2025 due to rising costs. Models like Kwid, Triber, and Kiger will be affected.

Renault India has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its lineup, effective April 2025. The increase will vary by model and variant, affecting popular cars like the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger.

Rising Input Costs Primary Reason for Latest Renault Price Hike

Mr. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India, stated, “Despite our best efforts to maintain prices for a long time, the sustained increase in input costs has necessitated this price adjustment. We have been absorbing these costs for a long time to support our customers, but to continue providing the best quality and innovative products, a price revision has become inevitable.”

The company cited rising input costs as the primary reason for the adjustment, stating that it has been absorbing these expenses for a long time. This is Renault Indiaโ€™s first price revision since February 2023.Despite the hike, Renault remains focused on delivering quality products and value-driven offerings. Customers planning a purchase may consider booking before the new prices take effect.

Fresh Set of Updates for Kiger and Triber

Last month, the 2025 Renault Kiger and Triber were updated with a few new features to make them more attractive propositions for potential buyers. Both Kiger and Triber have been volume churners for the Indian subsidiary of the French carmaker. These cars have even been doing pretty well in terms of their export numbers, thereby helping make India a prominent manufacturing hub for Renault. The Kiger is among the most affordable compact SUVs, while the Triber is the most affordable 7-seat MPV in India. This is something that will likely remain unchanged even with the upcoming price hike.
