Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo New Colours

Skoda launches limited-run Slavia Monte Carlo editions in new dual-tone colours ahead of the facelift. Here’s what’s new and whether you should wait.

Skoda has introduced two new variants of the Slavia Monte Carlo Edition inย Shimla Greenย andย Steel Grey dual-toneย paint finishes. These special editions are limited to justย 200 unitsย across theย 1.0 TSI ATย andย 1.5 TSI DSGย variants. The Monte Carlo trim is inspired by Skoda’s rallying heritage and retains its signature identity with blacked-out exterior elements, exclusive Monte Carlo styling cues, and a sporty black-and-red cabin theme. With these two new colour options, ล koda aims to offer Slavia buyers a more exclusive ownership experience without making any changes to the car’s mechanical package.

No Mehanical Changes

The engine options remain unchanged. Buyers can choose between aย 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engineย producingย 115 PS and 178 Nm, paired with aย six-speed torque-converter automatic, or aย 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engineย producingย 150 PS and 250 Nm, mated to aย seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The larger engine continues to feature ล koda’sย Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which deactivates two cylinders under light loads to improve fuel efficiency, along with plasma-coated cylinder liners for better thermal management.

The Monte Carlo variant celebrates ล koda’s rich motorsport history, dating back to its participation in theย Rallye Monte Carloย in 1912. Today, both the Kushaq and Slavia are available in the Monte Carlo trim, which gives them a sportier and more distinctive appearance.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Debut Next Month

These limited-edition variants have arrived just ahead of the launch of theย new Skoda Slavia facelift, which will debut next month. The updated sedan is likely to receive several cosmetic enhancements, including a larger redesigned grille, a sportier front bumper, LED headlamps with revised internals and new LED DRLs, newly designed 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a revised rear bumper, new LED taillamps, and illuminated Skoda lettering on the tailgate. Together, these updates are expected to give the Slavia a much fresher look.

Mechanically, the facelifted Slavia is expected to retain the sameย 1.0-litre TSI (115 PS)ย andย 1.5-litre TSI (150 PS)ย petrol engines. The current model is offered with three transmission options: a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed DSG automatic (exclusive to the 1.5-litre engine). However, for the facelift, the carmaker will likely replace the existing six-speed torque-converter automatic with a newerย eight-speed torque-converter automatic. Similar to what we saw on the Kushaq, this upgrade is expected to improve both refinement and fuel efficiency.

Inside, the facelifted Slavia is also expected to receive a largerย 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a refreshed cabin theme, revised upholstery, andย massaging front seats. So, would you choose the exclusive Monte Carlo Edition now, or would you wait for the facelifted Slavia, which promises a refreshed design, additional features, and a new automatic gearboxโ€”but is also expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model?

Editor’s Note

Yatharth Chauhan, Managing Editor

Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo has always been more about exclusivity than outright performance, and these two limited-run colour options only strengthen that appeal. However, with the facelift just around the corner, this launch seems to be an attempt to keep the current model in the spotlight before the next chapter begins. If you value rarity, this upgrade make a compelling case. But if updated tech, fresh styling and an improved automatic gearbox matter more, waiting another month should prove to be the wiser decision.
