The Indian auto giant loves to spawn special edition models for its entire range and the Curvv.ev is the latest product to get it
The Tata Curvv.ev SeriesX has been launched in India in two new avatars – Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55. Curvv is a prominent vehicle in our market with a coupe silhouette. That has been its main attraction over the other mid-size SUVs. There aren’t a whole lot of relatively affordable coupe SUVs in the country. With new versions, Tata Motors tries to attract more buyers with varying needs and to cater to individual requirements. For now, let us take a look at the details of the new versions of the Curvv.ev.
Tata Curvv.ev SeriesX Launched in Two New Variants
Tata Motors has expanded its EV lineup in India with the launch of the Tata Curvv.ev SeriesX. This new range focuses on offering better real-world usability, longer range and a more feature-rich experience. Prices start at Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-showroom, which places it competitively in the mid-size electric SUV segment. The SeriesX is available in two variants – Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55. Both use a larger battery pack that delivers an ARAI-certified range of 502 km. In real-world conditions, Tata claims a range of around 400 km, which should be sufficient for both daily commutes and occasional highway drives. The inclusion of a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery is also a big plus for buyers looking at long-term ownership.
Under the skin, the Curvv.ev is based on Tataโs dedicated EV architecture. It produces 167 hp and 215 Nm of instant torque. The performance is tuned for smooth and linear acceleration, making it easy to drive in city conditions while still being capable on highways. In terms of features, the Accomplished X 55 offers a good balance of comfort and technology. It gets a panoramic sunroof, dual digital screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 360-degree camera. It also comes with ventilated seats and premium upholstery. The Empowered X 55 builds on this with more premium features. These include a larger touchscreen, JBL audio system, powered driver seat and Level 2 ADAS. Overall, the Curvv.ev SeriesX looks like a strong all-rounder for modern EV buyers.
| Persona | Price |
| Accomplished X 55 | Rs 16.99 lakh |
| Empowered X 55 | Rs 19.19 lakh |
| Empowered X 55 #DARK | Rs 19.49 lakh |

Having tracked Tataโs EV strategy closely, I see the Curvv.ev SeriesX as a calculated move to strengthen its position in the mid-size electric SUV space. What stands out to me is the focus on real-world usability, be it improved range or a more feature-rich package, which directly addresses key concerns of Indian buyers. The coupe-SUV styling already gives it a distinct identity, and these new variants only broaden its appeal further. In my view, Tata is clearly trying to stay ahead of the curve by offering a mix of design, practicality and value in an increasingly competitive EV market.
