The prices of Tata Harrier have been increased yet again by up to Rs 45,000. The price range now starts at Rs 13.43 Lakhs up to Rs 17.30 Lakhs.
Tata Harrier is amongst the most popular mid-size SUVs in India, because of its resemblance to the Range Rover and Tata’s reliability. Competing with the likes of MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500, it is the second best-selling SUV in its class.
The prices of Tata Harrier now start at Rs 13.43 Lakhs going up to Rs 17.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Tata has hiked the prices of Harrier for the second time, now by up to Rs 45,000. Here is the revised variant-wise price list:
|XT Dark||16 Lakhs||45,000|
|XZ Dark||17.30 Lakhs||45,000|
|XZ Dual Tone||17.30 Lakhs||35,000|
After the launch of Harrier Dark Edition, the sales have increased considerably. With blacked-out alloys, glossy black paint job and an all-black interior, it certainly gives out the “Oomph” factor. It is available only with the high-end XT and XZ variants.
Harrier runs on a 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The Fiat-sourced engine produces 140 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Soon, the SUV will get a BS-6 compliant engine which will further increase the prices.
Harrier and the upcoming Gravitas (Harrier 7-seater) will sport new 2.0 Litre diesel engines that will produce 170 BHP and up to 400 Nm of torque. The automatic gearbox will also be introduced later on the Harrier, mostly the 9-speed AT unit sourced from Hyundai.
At the 2020 Auto Expo, Tata is expected to showcase the Gravitas, which will rival the likes of Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Innova and Honda CR-V. At the event, Tata is expected to showcase more models like Altroz EV and its upcoming micro-SUV (codenamed H2X).
