Hyundai Eon Turbocharged

Hyundai Eon Turbocharged

This has to be the only turbocharged Hyundai Eon in India. Eon was the entry-level product from the Korean carmaker in India. However, it was discontinued back in 2019. Still, there are a lot of Eon owners in our country. That makes the car relatively widely available. As a result, a car modifier has taken one Eon and transformed it completely with hardcore performance enhancements. The entire vehicle is more aggressive in terms of the powertrain and aesthetics. Here are the details.

This post comes from b.choww and _raj2021 on Instagram. This has to be the most powerful version of the Eon ever. It comes with thorough engine upgrades, exterior modifications and interior changes. Firstly, let us talk about the exterior. There is a matte black wrap on the exterior with red lighting underneath the car, new lights, fog lamps, rear spoiler, front bumper, new alloy wheels with performance tyres, aggressive grille, rear diffuser, custom body kit, new fenders, tinted taillamps, bi-xenon headlamps, de-chrome exterior and more.

More Power Than a Maruti Swift

In terms of specifications, the entire engine has been altered. There is a 997-cc engine on offer now instead of the 800-cc. It has forced pistons, connecting rods, a Honeywell turbocharger, a new air filter, a stage 2 clutch, stage 2 tuning, and more. All these components offer a massive boost in the performance taking the total power output to be around 90 hp, which makes it slightly more powerful than a stock Maruti Swift. Since Eon is a lightweight vehicle, this bump in performance results in a huge difference in terms of the driving dynamics.

What We Think

We appreciate the hardcore and professional modifications on this compact hatchback. It shows the deep knowledge of the modifier regarding internal combustion engines. On top of that, he has used top-quality components to ensure that the added performance doesn’t come at the cost of reliability. While we haven’t driven the vehicle yet, the specs are definitely enticing. Note that these modifications are not legal in our country. Therefore, you must strictly limit such modifications for educational or passion purposes.
