Reportedly, TVS is launching a new motorcycle built in collaboration with its partner, BMW Motorrad. The upcoming bike will be launched in this Financial year.

TVS is in partnership with BMW Motorrad, which gave us the BMW G310R and GS. They use the same engine that comes on RR310, but with better features and more premium touch.

AutocarPro now reports that the Indian manufacturer is launching a new motorcycle this financial year. The upcoming bike is being developed along with BMW Motorrad.

While the details are scarce right now, but we expect the naked roadster version of the Apache RR310. Maybe it can go by the name of RTR 310? That we will get to know as time passes.

BMW G310 R is a naked roadster, while the Apache RR310 is a sportsbike. Placing it with the RR310 in terms of pricing, we expect TVS to launch a G310 R-inspired naked bike.

The upcoming bike would share the engine, chassis and other equipment with the RR310. The 313cc liquid-cooled DOHC reverse inclined engine, produces 34 BHP at 9700 RPM and 27.3 Nm at 7700 RPM.

The engine tuning might be a bit different than what comes on the RR310. So, expect a better low-end torque performance. The gearing ratios are likely to be revised too.

For suspension, it will use the same 41mm gold-anodized USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock. Braking will be taken care of by disc brakes at both the end with dual-ABS as standard.

Expect the same feature list on the bike, which includes LED headlamps, LED tail lights, a fully digital instrument console, a single-piece handlebar, split seats and much more.

The upcoming TVS-BMW naked motorcycle or RTR 310, could go against KTM Duke 390, Honda CB300R, Jawa Motorcycles, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the 2019 Bajaj Dominar.

So, expect the RTR 310 to be priced well under Rs 2.5 Lakhs, closer to the 2 Lakh point. RR310 is also priced at Rs 2.22 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The upcoming bike will definitely undercut the prices of RR310.
