TVS Motor Company has launched the Orbiter, an electric scooter with a 158 km IDC range, 34-litre boot, cruise control, and advanced safety features. Price starts at ₹99,900.
TVS Motor Company has added a new model to its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Orbiter. The scooter enters the growing urban EV commuter segment. It will be available at an introductory price of ₹99,900 (ex-showroom, inclusive of the PM e-Drive scheme, Bengaluru and New Delhi). The Orbiter arrives at a time when major manufacturers are expanding their electric offerings in response to rising demand and policy incentives. With a claimed IDC range of 158 km on a single charge, it seeks to position itself as a practical option for city riders.

TVS Orbiter Key Features and Specifications
The scooter is powered by a 3.1 kWh battery pack. TVS states that the battery has been paired with aerodynamic improvements to enhance efficiency. The Orbiter comes equipped with an industry-first 14-inch front wheel, expected to improve stability and ride comfort on city roads. Other features include:
- Cruise control and hill hold assist
- Dual riding modes: Eco and Power
- Regenerative braking system
- 34-litre under-seat storage with space for two helmets
- 845 mm flat seat and 290 mm footboard for added comfort
On the technology front, the Orbiter offers a connected mobile app, live vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, crash and fall alerts, and over-the-air software updates. Riders can also view call and message notifications on the LCD display cluster.
Safety and Connectivity
Safety features extend beyond the physical build. The scooter includes emergency notifications, towing alerts, anti-theft protection, and live location sharing. A ground clearance of 169 mm, LED lighting, and integrated indicators are aimed at making it better suited for urban conditions. The Orbiter will be available in six colour choices: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper.

The launch of the Orbiter comes as Indian two-wheeler makers race to strengthen their EV portfolios.
