This is the season of angry rivers and overflowing rivulets all across the country and the consequences are less than pleasant.

A Mahindra Bolero and some other vehicles are seen being rescued from the wrath of the mighty Brahmaputra river. The monsoon season is often, unfortunately, followed by massive floods in the plane areas of our country. Water accumulation is a real phenomenon affecting thousands and thousands of people every year. The cities are filled with water due to inefficient drainage systems while the natural rivers run havoc on the civilisation near their banks. This is one such case.

Mahindra Bolero Rescued From A River

This video has been uploaded by Dhruva Mundodi on his YouTube channel. As per the description of the video, it has been reported from Majuli in Assam. The Brahmaputra river flows through that area and its flow is already famous for being violent, especially during the monsoons. In this video clip, a Bolero is seen being rescued by a few people as they tie it to the ropes and are seen pulling it. It has already been brought on a boat which is in danger of being washed away by the river. There are other vehicles in the vicinity which also seem to be rescued from the river storm.

Flash Floods Fairly Common in Mountains

It is NOT advisable in the monsoons to travel to such places that are in danger of flooding. This includes cities that are prone to water accumulation, mountains and river banks. Flash floods could happen at any time, especially in the mountains and there is generally not enough time to react. In this video too, the wrath of Brahmaputra is visible. Thankfully, the vehicles have been taken away from the river storm timely by the locals. Otherwise, water can easily sweep away the vehicles.
