There are designated authorities like Global NCAP, that are responsible for rewarding the cars with actual safety ratings. There are distinct tests in place that are designed to test all the aspects of a vehicle including the quality of the sheetmetal, load transfer during a collision, and active and passive safety equipment. Jimny will come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol powertrain generating 104.8 PS and 134.2 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The main attraction of the Jimny will be its hardcore off-roading equipment including a locking differential and low-range transfer case. This technology is called Suzuki’s ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system. The SUV will rival the likes of Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha, both of whose 5-door versions will be available soon.
