The most popular mid-size SUV in the country has been modified into an even more attractive proposition with these massive aftermarket alloys.

Meet India’s only Mahindra XUV700 with humungous 24-inch alloys. Aftermarket alloys are becoming increasingly popular among people who want to make their vehicles look unique. Let us check out the details of the design of these alloys in depth.

The video has been uploaded on YouTube with a walk-around tour of the SUV. The silver-coloured XUV700 is ideally suited for this silver 5-spoke alloy pattern. All the 4 brake callipers are painted red which adds to the overall sporty nature of the SUV. The advantage of having larger alloys is the option of installing low-profile wider tyres for enhanced handling characteristics. Wider tyres provide more grip and traction and one could drive a bit more enthusiastically around the corners. The downside of having such large alloys is that the ride quality of the vehicle is affected negatively. Also, the thinner sidewall allows the bumps and undulations on the roads to enter the cabin. Hence, one has to sacrifice the ride quality for attractive looks.

Specs

The Mahindra XUV700 comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit that churns out a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. Meanwhile, the Diesel engine is available in multiple states of tune. The lower versions get 155 PS and 360 Nm, while the higher positioned models benefit from 185 PS and 420 Nm (450 Nm in automatic variant). Both the petrol and diesel engine variants will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission choices. The prices of the mid-size SUV range between Rs 13.18 lakh and Rs 24.58 lakh, ex-showroom.
