Volkswagen is offering a huge discount on the BS6 Vento of more than 2 Lakhs. The updated sedan is priced from Rs 8.86 Lakhs.

Volkswagen Vento, with the BS6 upgrade, lost all of its existing engines. Vento lost its 1.5 Litre diesel engine and the 1.6 Litre MPI engine too. The BS6 sedan was launched a couple of months back with a 1.0 Litre TSI engine. Now, you can buy it with discounts and offers of more than Rs 2 Lakhs.

For the Comfortline trim, you can get up to Rs 2.05 Lakhs worth discount. There’s 1.6 Lakh instant cash discount along with Rs 20,000 exchange bonus, Rs 15,000 exclusive discount for doctors and Rs 10,000 corporate discount. As for the Highline Plus variant, you will get a lower Rs 1 Lakh cash discount with rest of the discounts same as above.

There’s no offer applicable on the base Trend Line variant. BS6 Vento is priced from Rs 8.86 Lakhs up to Rs 13.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The Comfortline Plus trim is priced at Rs 10 Lakhs and if all the discounts are applicable, you can get it for Rs 7.95 Lakhs. That makes it cheaper than the base Trend line variant. Even if not, you can atleast take the cash discount and get the car for Rs 7.6 Lakhs.

Highline Plus trim comes in Manual and AT options, priced at Rs 12 Lakhs and Rs 13.30 Lakhs, respectively. With discounts applicable, you can get up to Rs 1.45 Lakhs off making it a very good deal. However, we are still not sure how will VW present the base variant without any offer, making it costlier than the mid-spec trim.

Vento comes with a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is good for 110 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT, losing out on the DSG gearbox as well. Even Skoda Rapid and VW Polo use the same engine with the same figures too.

While Vento may not be the most powerful sedan in the class, it certainly is among the most premium. And with discounts, you can get the sedan for a very cheap price. In this competition, Skoda Rapid is the most affordable followed by Maruti Ciaz. Other competitors include new generation Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Verna.
