Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal used to buy luxury cars after every round of funding, reveals Ashneer Grover. Ashneer was in news recently after he was not a part of the current season of the successful reality TV show, Shark Tank India. He was the former Managing Director of BharatPe, which is a unicorn (a $1 billion company). Ashneer was involved in an investigation for money laundering. He recently came up with a book called Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups. Incidentally, he named it Doglapan after his famous comment during Season 1 of Shark Tank India got popular.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Cars
In a podcast with Vagerah Vagehra, Ashnner opened up about his life after the recent investigation that led to him stepping down as the MD of BharatPe. He has been on various social media events ever since as people were interested in getting his opinion on various financial matters. Sharks had already attained the status of celebrities even since the first season of the popular reality show aired last year. Moreover, Ashneer being outspoken, caught the attention of the public right from the get-go.

In this latest podcast, he said that he is fond of luxury cars and so is Deepinder Goyal. He said, “It’s not just me, it’s everyone. Jaise Zomato ka founder hain Deepinder, sabse zyada shauk usko tha. Jab bhi uska round raise hota tha uski nai sports car aa jati thi toh hum bade chidte the (Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal was obsessed with cars. He would buy a sports car every time he got a round of funding and we felt envious because he would get to ride luxury cars),”

Deepinder Goyal has been spotted multiple times in his ostentatious cars including a Lamborghini Urus, Porsche and Range Rover.
