The founder of Shaadi.com and a popular judge on Shark Tank India reveals that he went bankrupt in his twenties but managed to establish a multi-million dollar business after that.
In a recent interview with Mashable India, Anupam Mittal shared his journey from the time he went bankrupt to now when he owns cars worth crores. For the uninitiated, Anupam is the founder of the famous match-making website, Shaadi.com. Recently, he was one of the investors/judges on the business reality show, Shark Tank India. That is when he, along with the other judges, exploded into the limelight. Now, he shares his journey from his twenties when he went bankrupt due to the dot-com bubble crash to now when he a serial investor and one of the biggest entrepreneurs in the country.

Cars of Anupam Mittal
Lamborghini Huracan
Arguably the most prized possession in the extravagant garage of Anupam is the yellow Lamborghini Huracan. The supercar from the Italian carmaker comes powered by a massive 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine that develops a colossal 610 hp and 600 Nm of peak power and torque. It is mated to a sporty and quick-shifting 7-speed DCT transmission. The starting price of this supercar is well over Rs 3.70 Crore, ex-showroom in our market.

Audi S5
Next on the list of luxury cars Anupam owns is the Audi S5. The S5 Sportback comes powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine developing 354 hp and 500 Nm of peak power and torque. It is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic Transmission with the Quattro All-Wheel-Drive system. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The prices of the S5 start at around Rs 80 lakh, ex-showroom.

Mercedes Benz S-Class
No luxury car collection is complete without an S-Class and it is the case here as well. Anupam owns a Mercedes Benz S-Class which is the zenith of luxury in our market. It comes powered by a 3.0-litre L6 diesel engine and a 3.0-litre L6 petrol engine with a 48 V mild hybrid system. The former outputs a healthy 286 hp and 600 Nm, while the latter churns out 367 hp (+22 hp) and 500 Nm (+250 Nm) of peak power and torque respectively. The diesel powertrain propels the limousine from 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 secs, while the petrol unit does the same in a mere 5.1 secs. The top speed of both these variants is 250 km/h. The prices start at a whopping Rs 1.60 Crore. This journey of Anupam Mittal from being bankrupt to owning cars worth crores is an inspiring one.
