Chevrolet Beat Diesel Launched – Official Price List India & Details

Chevrolet Beat is a fresh new small car on India roads giving tough competition to other small cars of the same segment, here we have compared some of them with Chevrolet Beat -

Chevrolet India Vice-President (Sales, Marketing & Services) Ankush Arora has quoted

The one-litre diesel engine will be rolled-out from Talegaon early next year for our small car, Beat

This is a good move by Chevrolet / General Motors India which will help them capture some of the slice of Small Diesel cars from Ford Figo Diesel, Maruti Ritz Diesel, Volkswagen Polo Diesel etc.

The Diesel Engine of the Chevrolet beat will be a 1 Litre CRDI Diesel Engine. It will produce a Max Power of about 60 BHP and Max Torque of about 100 Nm. The engines will be manufactured at the Talegaon Plant of Chevrolet India. There are also talks of Chevrolet Beat LPG launch about the same time as the Chevrolet Beat Diesel.

Launch & Price Of Chevrolet Beat Diesel

There is no official Information about the price or launch date of Chevrolet Beat Diesel. The launch is expected around January 2011. The price of the Chevrolet Beat is expected to between Rs. 4.2 Lakhs and Rs. 5.5 Lakhs to compete with the same segment of cars. This is an approximate assumption and not the official price. We will update this section as soon as there is some official announcement of the same.

    Hi the Beat diesel is launching in mid date of June 2011. This was actually was planned for the Feb 2011. Due to the engine vibration as it has chopped of the one cylinder from four. They have sorted out the issue and trial is on full swing……………:). mileage is claimed to 23 Kmpl

    This car will wipe out every other diesel car in the country. Cheapest but handsomest and with best fuel efficiency ( nearly 30 kmpl and that too on diesel ). What more does one need?

    If its gonna be 1.2L engine then it makes sense… 1.0L engine is gonna be a disaster because 1.2L petrol itself severely lacks power when compared to its peers….. Go Beat… I am also waiting for the Beat Diesel and hope that they have atleast 1.2L engine…. They are gonna rip down one of the cylinders…. Lets see what their engineers bring forth for the Indians…

    Iam not sure what will response of 1 litre engine. 1.2 lit would have made lot of sense. It is not enough to make disel without power. With AC on it may be slugish.Hope chevy does a complete trails before hitting the market.
