The Piaggio Vespa 946 is filled to the brim with technology, to say the least. A 125cc and 150cc four stroke-fuel injected engine are the engine options available on the flagship scooter. It offers ABS, traction control and disc brakes at both the front and rear, it will also get meaty tyres as standard. It is a customisable scooter and will be available only in Black and white colour options. Expect the price to be around Rs.1.5-2 lakh for the simple reason that it is a handcrafted scooter and will be available in limited numbers.
Another scooter, the Vespa S, where S stands for Sport, is also expected to make its way to the Indian roads. It will feature a square headlight as the only point of differentiation between it and the Vespa VX 125 as the engine will remain bog similar. Both these scooters will be marketed as premium products and Piaggio is aiming to make the Vespa brand the perfect mix of modernity and retro styling.
