According to reports the Piaggio Vespa 946 may be launched in India by June 2014, it will be the costliest scooter in the range as it will be brought in via the Completely-Built-Unit (CBU) route. Piaggio clearly is not aiming to sell the scooter in large numbers and may position it as the flagship offering from the company.
We are not sure about this figure but reports suggest that the Piaggio Vespa 946 could be priced at around Rs. 8-9 Lakh
Surprised? We are too. It is hard to fathom who would buy the 946 at this price, and we are hoping that Paiggio will bring down the price to around the Rs. 2 Lakh mark.

The Piaggio Vespa 946 is filled to the brim with technology, to say the least. A 125cc and 150cc four stroke-fuel injected engine are the engine options available on the flagship scooter. It offers ABS, traction control and disc brakes at both the front and rear, it will also get meaty tyres as standard. It is a customisable scooter and will be available only in Black and white colour options. Expect the price to be around Rs.1.5-2 lakh for the simple reason that it is a handcrafted scooter and will be available in limited numbers.
