Yamaha India Sales Grow 40% In January 2012

Yamaha India celebrated the first month of this New Year 2012 with high sales growth. Backed by its dynamic product portfolio, Yamaha India registered an overall sales growth of 40% in January 2012 compared to the same month in 2011. In the domestic market Yamaha sold 26,300 units in January 2012 vs. 21,974 units sold in the same period last year thereby registering a 20% sales growth. The export figures stood at 13,640 units in January 2012 while 6,623 motorcycles were exported in January 2011. Yamaha India Sales Grew 29.2% In November 2011

Yamaha India sales grew a handsome 29.2% in India in the month of November 2011 compared to the sales in the same month’s sale last year in 2010. The overall improvement in the sales of both commuter and premium segment bikes, new models, aggressive pricing and marketing in the commuter segment and high quality of products have been the key reasons in the growth of Yamaha India. Also the slowdown in car sales is also converting to two wheeler sales to a small extent which is because of the high petrol prices in India. image – Yamaha R15 In November 2011 Yamaha India sold 39,162 units vs. 30,310 units in November 2010. In domestic markets, the sales grew 24% year-over-year at 28,178 units in November 2011 vs. 22,710 units sold in the same period last year.
