2018 TVS Apache RTR160 Launch Around the Corner, Auto Expo 2018 Debut Likely

The TVS Apache RTR 160, which is the highest selling Apache model, will soon get a huge makeover that will enable it to keep fresher competition at bay. The new bike is expected to launch at the Auto Expo 2018. Here are all the available details on the new 2018 TVS Apache RTR160.

The 2018 TVS Apache RTR160 will offer many new features and an updated engine. The current twin gas-charged shock absorbers that come on the current bike will be shown the door to make room for a monoshock rear suspension. Overall, the new 2018 Apache RTR 160 will be more modern than the current bike.

2018 TVS Apache RTR160 Price

It’s being said that the 2018 RTR160 will launch in two models. The cheaper of the two will offer drum brakes at the rear. On the other hand, the top-end model will have disc brakes on both wheels along with ABS. Prices of the 2018 Apache RTR160 are expected to start at Rs 80,000 and go all the way to Rs 86,500.

While the new bike won’t get an all-new engine, the motor will be re-turned to churn out more power and torque. We expect a peak power-torque of 16 BHP-14 Nm. This will make the bike’s performance at par with that of the new Bajaj Pulsar NS 160. The Apaches have been lighter than the Pulsars, and things shouldn’t change with the new RTR 160 and the NS 160. All this means that there are very good chances of the new Apache RTR 160 being quicker and faster than the NS 160. We expect a top speed of at least 125 KMPH and a 0-100 KMPH time of less than 13 seconds. ABS should be optional
