2019 TVS Wego has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage. It might be testing with a new BS-VI engine. Wego comes with a 110cc powered scooter and sits below Jupiter.ย
TVS Wego was introduced in 2010 and it became an instant hit. Wego gave us a break from the smaller looking Scooty Pep and also the plain old looking Honda Activa. At that time, Wego squarely aimed against Activa. However, since the launch of Jupiter, the sales of Wego fell down considerably. Jupiter was more premium looking and offered more features in a similar price range. Meanwhile, here is a fresh spy picture of the 2019 TVS Wego. We believe that the scooter might be testing with theย newย BS-VI engine and an upgraded safety measure.
Under the heavy camouflage, we can hardly spot a couple of things other than the alloy wheels and tail-light design. The 12-inch alloy wheels are the same from the current Wego. The tail light design and turn indicators are also carried over from the current model. Reports say that the 2019 TVS Wego does not get LED tail light. The exhaust muffler is also the same as it is.

So, the test mule of the 2019 TVS Wego might be equipped with a new BS-VI engine. A lot of automobile brands have started testing their BS-VI vehicles. For two-wheelers under 125cc, Government has made fitment of the combi-braking system necessary. So, the new 2019 TVS Wego will continue with TVS’s Synchronized Braking System.
The new 2019 TVS Wego will continue with the same 109.7cc engine that puts out 8 BHP max. and peak torque of 8.4 Nm. The scooter pairs up with a CVTi gearbox.

For braking, the Wego uses drum brakes on both ends with an option of a 220mm front disc brake. The scooter uses the Sync Braking System, which automatically activates the front brakes once the rear brakes are pulled. It uses telescopic suspension in the front and Swing Unit suspension in the rear.
The features onboard the Wego include full LED All-time-on headlamps, full digital speedometer, LED tail lamp, dual side handle lock, external fuel filler cap,ย Self-illuminating key lock glow, USB mobile charger. parking brake and Econometer.

The prices of TVS Wego start off at Rs 52,127 going up to Rs 53,027 (ex-showroom prices Delhi). Like Jupiter, Wego also competes with Activa 125, Suzuki Let’s, Yamaha Fascino and Hero Pleasure.
