As bizarre as some stories go, this incident is toward the extreme end of that spectrum which is both hilarious and utterly dangerous at the same time.
In this mind-boggling video clip, as many as 7 people are seen riding on a single bike. Now, you would think that is impossible but the video speaks for itself. India is a nation where multiple people riding on a single bike is a rather common sight. There could be several reasons for that but we are not here to discuss that. This particular incident highlights the need to take road safety in our country seriously.

7 People Riding 1 Bike
The video has been uploaded on YouTube on the Mundodi Vlogs channel. In the clip, a bike is seen parked on the side of the road and there are a bunch of people surrounding it. To be precise, there are 3 adults and 4 children. The rider is trying to squeeze all of them onto the bike which seems impossible at first. However, as the time passes, the two children are seen seated on the fuel tank, followed by three adults on the seat. The two ladies sitting behind the rider are holding two children. And just like that, the family boards the bike and goes away.

Now, there are so many things wrong with this. First of all, not even a single person in the group is wearing a helmet. This is unfortunate considering how relevant helmets are in the case of unfortunate incidents. Secondly, it is illegal for more than two people to ride on a bike. There are safety concerns and legal repercussions. Finally, the bike is not designed to hold so many people which could easily lead to mechanical failure of the components or the engine. Hence, stupid acts like these risk the lives of innocent children along with adults.

Also, because of so much weight, the driving characteristics of the bike are changed. There could be issues with the steering which could cause injury to the other drivers on the road. Hence, it is not only them that could get hurt but any random guy on the street for no fault of his/her.
