But let’s address the looks first. The 2020 GLE looks much more upright and in essence, a smaller version of the GLS. The face gets Merc’s twin-slat grille with the Mercedes logi in the middle. There are new LED headlamps that come with with Mercedesโ€™ twin eyebrow DRLs. In profile, the GLE looks familiar to the existing model, thanks to an almost identical roofline and glass area. There are new dual tone alloys to body cladding to accentuate on the SUV stance. The rear end is completely new with redesigned LED tail lamps that are much sleeker than before and a dual exhaust setup.ย ย

The interiors also have a brand new design language. The dashboard is simplistic and is dominated by a twin screen setup that uses the latest iteration of Mercedes’ MBUX software. Below the infotainment are the four AC vents and the aircraft style toggles for the climate control.ย The cabin is really opulent withย extensive use of rich materials and its much more spacious than before as well, thanks to an increase in the wheelbase.
