Audi has sold out all BS4 stocks of the Q3 and A3 in India and both cars are not in sale anymore until Audi introduces BS6 compliant versions of SUV and the Sedan.

Audi has sold out all the BS4 stock of the Q3 and the A3 in the country and neither cars are available for sale right now. Both the cars were either powered by a 1.4L TFSI petrol engine or a 2.0L TDI diesel engine. They will be back on sale when Audi has introduced BS6 compliant versions of Q3 SUV and A3 sedan. We also await for new-generation versions of the Q3 and A3 to come to India.

The Audi A3 was priced between Rs 29.21 lakh to Rs 32.21 lakh in India. In fact, the A3 sedan received a massive price cut of about Rs 5 lakhs in India. Both the engine options in the A3 were available in two trims – Premium and Technology. Under the hood, the 1.4L TFSI petrol engine produced 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. The engine came paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.0L diesel engine produced 143bhp and 320Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The Q3 also shared the same engines with the A3 sedan and was similarly offered in two trims – Premium and Technology. Just like the A3, the 1.4L TFSI petrol engine in the Q3 produced 150bhp and 250Nm of peak torque and was offered as a front-wheel drive SUV only. Meanwhile, the 2.0L TDI diesel engine in the Q3 produced a healthier 184bhp of power and 380Nm of peak torque. The engine came paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and was also offered with all-wheel drive.

The A3 and the Q3 are one of the most affordable Audis in India, and until Audi introduces BS6 versions of both, there’s a void in the entry level space in India for Audi. Audi has already revealed the next-gen Q3 internationally and its set to be launched in India in a few months time. However, with the ongoing coronavirus crisis, that process could now stand delayed. The new SUV comes with plenty of upgrades over its predecessor.

As for the A3, Audi has revealed the A3 sportback in the international markets but are yet to reveal the sedan version of the same. That is expected to happen sometime towards the end of year and then it will take some more time for the new A3 to make it to India. Also, Audi being a part of the Volkswagen Group, has decided to discontinue their diesel engines in India. The new Audi A3 and Q3 will be petrol-only models when they arrive.
