Maruti is offering hefty discounts up to Rs 45,000 on many of its cars. On Vitara Brezza and Ertiga, there are no offers available.

Normalcy in the auto industry is slowly coming to life as manufacturers are starting their productions. Dealerships have also started opening up and in many states, the deliveries have also commenced. To recover the losses experienced, manufacturers are offering heavy discounts on their cars.

As for now, there are no offers applicable for Vitara Brezza Petrol and Ertiga Petrol. Also, the bookings for S-Cross petrol have commenced officially, after Maruti teased the crossover. We are expecting Maruti to launch the S-Cross with a BS6 petrol engine by the end of this month.

You get the maximum discount of Rs 45,000 on Maruti Swift, Dzire Facelift and Celerio Petrol and CNG. On Alto 800 Petrol and CNG, you have a good discount of Rs 35,000. With the discount, the most affordable Maruti car is now priced from Rs 2.59 Lakhs up to Rs 4 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Eeco has also received a BS6 compliant engine and is offered with discounts of Rs 10,000 cash and Rs 20,000 exchange. The same discount is applicable for S-Presso and WagonR. Both the hatchbacks are very popular in the market and with a good discount offer, it is bound to get more attraction soon.

Meanwhile, Maruti has discontinued the Alto K10 by not upgrading it with BS6 engine. Officials explained that the K10 was priced way too near to the Alto 800 and S-Presso. Since Maruti launched its SUV-styled hatchback, the demand for Alto K10 has reduced. It came with the same 1.0 Litre engine but felt very much outdated compared to S-Presso.

Reports suggest that the Maruti is going to phase out the Alto 800 and Celerio by 2021. Both of them are towards the end of their lifecycle in India and will be replaced by completely new cars. Maruti will bring out an 800cc car as well as a replacement for Celerio with a 1.0 Litre engine.
