Maruti Suzuki continues its new launches for the year with the S-Presso facelift with new features being the next on the long list. S-Presso has garnered a ton of interest among Indian car buyers, especially near the entry-level segment owing to its SUV-ish stance despite small dimensions. 2022 Maruti S-Presso Changes

While the exterior of this 2022 facelift remains identical to the existing model, there are a ton of features that the mini-SUV now comes with. Some of these features include the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist in AGS transmission variants, electrically adjusted ORVMs, a new cabin air filter, in addition to dynamic centre console with Smart Play Studio, twin-chamber headlamps, steering-mounted audio, and voice console, a next-gen engine with idle start/stop for added fuel efficiency and more.

Specs and Mileage

This facelifted S-Presso comes with the new next-gen K10C Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine that belts out a maximum of 66 hp and 89 Nm of power and torque respectively. There is the option of a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The refined engine enables a mileage of 25.30 km/l in Vxi(O)/Vxi+(O) AGS, 24.76 km/l in Vxi/Vxi+ MT and 24.12 km/l in Std/Lxi MT. Such high mileage figures are the prime reason why people opt for the S-Presso in particular and Maruti Suzuki products in general.

Price and Rivals

This facelifted Maruti S-Presso ranges from Rs 4.25 lakh to Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The traditional rivals of the S-Presso include the Renault Kwid, Tata Punch, and perhaps its own family member, the Ignis. With the increased competition and popularity of this segment, Maruti has ensured that its S-Presso remains relevant and appealing with this update.
