Holi is around the corner and it makes sense to invest some time to learn about the best ways to clean your car after the colourful celebrations.

Ideally, you must prepare your car in advance using polyethene to wrap the inside of the car so that stains don’t get attached to the fabric of the seats or plastics of the dashboard and other parts inside the cabin including floor mats. But since that is not very feasible, here are some tips to clean the car afterwards. Make sure to give a thorough clean using water via a hose. The high-pressure water will remove at least the prominent stains from the surface of the vehicle.

Then you could do a manual and deep cleaning using foam or proper car shampoos. These will help eliminate the stains that are deeply stuck to the car’s surface. Finally, rinse the car thoroughly. You could use a microfibre cloth to dry the surface. That will ensure that there are no scratches on the surface of the car. Generally, harsh washing using regular clothes or hot water ends up affecting the car’s paint in the long run. Hence, these things should be avoided at all costs.

Similarly, you could use a soft-bristled brush to clean the insides of the car as well. There could be mild foam that would not damage the seat fabrics and plastics on the dashboard and door panels, etc. Also, the brush could wipe the floor mats clean as well. If you can’t do this yourself, you could take your car for a professional cleaning. However, we would like to advise our readers not to take your cars to the Holi party in the first place.
