Jimny bears the old-school boxy silhouette with round headlamps and the trademark front grille with vertical slats at the front, a rugged bumper, fog lamps and a skid plate accentuating the toughness and upright profile. On the sides, the upright stance continues and the side panels are devoid of any curved surfaces. At the rear, one finds the horizontally-positioned taillamps with the spare tyre mounted on the boot lid. All in all, the design theme will be similar to the one sold abroad.

Maruti Jimny will have a decent 1.5-litre K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 104.8 PS and 134.2 Nm of peak power and torque. Mated to this is a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission powering all four wheels via Suzuki’s trademark ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 drivetrain with a low-range transfer case and locking differential.
