Skoda Kushaq Owner Rejects Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

Skoda Kushaq is a premium mid-size SUV that rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in our market.

In this video, the YouTuber interacts with a Skoda Kushaq owner who reveals why he didn’t opt for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Both these are mid-size SUVs. In fact, buyers are choosing both of these quite popularly. But this owner has specific reasons for going for the Kushaq. Kushaq was the first product under VW Group’s India 2.0 strategy which spawned subsequent vehicles like the Skoda Slavia, VW Taigun and VW Virtus. The Czech carmaker has experienced a huge rise in sales compared to its last-gen products ever since.

The video has been uploaded by Daksh Agnihotri on YouTube. He interacts with a man who recently purchased the Skoda Kushaq SUV. He asks the man the reason why he didn’t choose the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder to which the Kushaq owner replies that he didn’t get the feel of sitting inside a car worth Rs 16 lakh. In fact, he mentions that the interiors are overdone and look too loud for his liking. Moreover, the quality of materials used inside the Hyryder doesn’t feel premium at all.

In addition to that, he says that the Kushaq is, by far, the safest car in the segment (along with its sibling, VW Taigun). That is something missing in the Hyryder or other cars in the segment. He is particular about the safety rating and thinks that it is good to invest once in a safe car for the sake of the family. Finally, he says that the driving experience and dynamics of the Kushaq are simply incomparable. He test-drove tons of other vehicles in this price point including cars from other segments but didn’t find any car that spoke to him apart from the Kushaq.
