Honda has launched the Elevate mid-size SUV in India with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom. To receive a full 5-star safety rating, the car must score a minimum of 27 points in Adult Protection and 41 points in Child Protection categories.

Honda City-Like Adult Protection Rating?

The Elevate shares aplenty with the City, including its underpinnings. This simply means that the SUV could have a similar performance at the crash test. The latest-gen City has been tested by ASEAN NCAP, where it has had a pretty good show. It has achieved an impressive 4-star rating for its ability to safeguard adults during accidents. Things shouldn’t be too different even with the protection for the child occupant. The City has earned a commendable 4-star rating for its commitment to child occupant safety. What We Think

The new SUV shares the same platform as the City sedan. In 2020, the City received a full 5-star safety rating at the ASEAN NCAP. Even the Indian version scored a respectable 4 star rating in GNCAP. Now, there are a lot of similarities between the two testing agencies and procedures. Hence, it is entirely possible that the Honda Elevate safety rating could be similar to City. For all we know, it might even bag a full 5-star score!
