At times, such content creators have even been put behind bars, which is something that should surely act as a deterrent. SHO Faces Suspension for Allowing Use of Police Force’s Mahindra Scorpio

Kuldeep Chahl, Police Commissioner has taken action against Inspector Ashok Sharma, the INSP/SHO, for allowing an unknown social media user sit on the bonnet of an official police vehicle and create content. The video that’s still available online even shows a Punjab Police officer standing nearby and watching the entire act. The influencer was seen dancing to a Punjabi song and making offensive gestures towards the camera. The laws under which action has been taken against the SHO are unclear at the moment. However, it looks like the SHO is facing a temporary suspension.

Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like any action has been taken against the social media user in question. The lack of action against the influencer could be due to he fact that she is yet to be traced. Another reason is that she might have taken permission from the Police personnel in charge of the vehicle. However, any display of indecent behaviour or misuse of public property such as the Mahindra Scorpio cop car is definitely illegal.
