New Honda City Sport Detailed on Tape

The new edition of the premium mid-size sedan comes with a few aesthetic changes to make it look sporty

The new Honda City Sport has been showcased in the flesh in this post. Note that the Sport is the new version of the sedan which aims to attract relatively young buyers. City has been an instrumental product in its class in our market for over 2 decades. Over the years, it has stood its own despite fierce competition from the rivals. This is particularly true in the last couple of years with products like the VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia. In any case, let us take a look at the details of the new Honda City Sport.

New Honda City Sport Detailed

This post stems from Anubhav Chauhan on YouTube. The host gives a walkaround tour of the exterior and interior of the new sedan. On the outside, there are some distinct elements to make it stand out from the standard model. These include things like a sporty black grille, black trunk lip spoiler at the rear, glossy black shark fin antenna, multi-spoke sporty grey alloy wheels, black ORVMs and an exclusive Sport emblem. Furthermore, there are 3 colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.

Then the host moves to the inside. Note that it is based on the mid-spec trim, which makes it fairly feature-laden. There are soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels along with ambient light. Other bits incorporate premium leather black seats and plush soft door inserts, contrasting red stitch pattern on the seats, door inserts and steering wheel, black cabin, black roof lining and pillars, 7-colour rhythmic ambient light, sporty dark red dash garnish and glossy black AC vents accentuate the sportiness inside the cabin. All in all, there are enough amenities to pamper the occupants.

Specs and Price

The Honda City Sport comes with the familiar 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which is now E20 compatible. It generates a decent 121 PS and 145 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The City Sport is available with a sole CVT automatic transmission. This is one of the smoothest gearboxes around. In the regular trim, there is also the option of a 6-speed manual. The Japanese car marque claims a mileage of 18.4 km/l with the CVT. This sedan also comes with the Honda SENSING ADAS active safety tech to elevate the active prowess. You can get your hands on it starting from Rs 14.88 lakh, ex-showroom.
