In this post, we take a look at the details of the car collection of Pooja Pal. She is a famous politician from Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, she is the wife of former Allahabad West MLA Raju Pal, who was shot down in broad daylight soon after defeating Ahmad in the 2004 elections. She has been in the news recently due to being expelled from the Samajwadi Party for praising CM Yogi Adityanath for delivering justice to her and to women after the death of gangster-cum-politician Atiq Ahmed, who was an accused in the 2005 murder of her husband. 2 Toyota Fortuner
Then, there are two Toyota Fortuner SUVs in her garage. Note that she owns the old, as well as the new model. It is the most successful 3-row off-roading SUV in the country. It carries a 2.7-litre petrol mill which produces a humble 164 hp and 245 Nm and a 2.8-litre turbo diesel mill which churns out a massive 201 hp and 420 Nm (500 Nm with automatic transmission) of peak power and torque, respectively. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission. At present, the prices start at Rs 42.78 lakh and go up to Rs 63.06 lakh, ex-showroom.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic
Finally, Pooja Pal also owns a Mahindra Scorpio Classic. It is a famed SUV for many politicians across the nation. Its rugged nature and tough characteristics ensure that it is able to traverse across all sorts of road conditions. Under its tall hood sits a familiar 2.2-litre mHawk 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with variable turbo geometry generating a decent 97 kW (130 hp) and 300 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Performing the transmission duties is a sole 6-speed manual gearbox (with Cable Shift). The SUV ranges from Rs 16.65 lakh to Rs 21.35 lakh, ex-showroom.
