We’re back from driving the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and we’ve already posted a detailed test drive report of the new premium vehicle from Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will go on sale in the coming days and will rival the likes of upcoming Hyundai Creta. The new S-Cross has a lot going for it. For starters, it becomes the first car in the country to be powered by the highly acclaimed 1.6-litre Multijet Diesel engine. The S-Cross also offers a fantastic ride quality and a spacious cabin that is made up of high quality materials. Verdict
As you must have felt by now, there’s a lot going for the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. For starters, it is well designed and looks at least as stylish as any of its rivals. Also, the cabin is spacious and Maruti has used high quality materials to impart a touch of premium-ness to the interior panels. The S-Cross becomes the first car in India to feature the highly acclaimed 1.6-litre Multijet turbo-diesel engine and overall, the engine has left us impressed with its high refinement and punchy nature. The S-Cross also benefits from a fantastic ride quality and good high speed stability. However, pricing would play a key role in deciding the fate of the latest premium product from MSIL and we believe that a starting price of INR 7.5 lacs for the base variant could make the S-Cross an attractive proposition for the pseudo-crossover buying lot.
