Hyundai to launch a special edition of the Elite i20
Hyundai India is planning to launch a special edition variant of the Elite i20 to commemorate the first anniversary of the hatchback in India. This might also help Hyundai get the attention of potential customers who might have been distracted by the launch of the new Honda Jazz. This special editionย dubbed the Hyundai i20 Celebration Edition, will be limited to just 600 units. The Hyundai Elite i20 is the currentย segment leader in terms of sales thanks to the stellar response the received by the standard i20 and the i20 Active and this special edition will only help enhance the hatchback’s appeal. Launch
The current i20 hatchback was launched in India on August 11, 2014. Seeing as this is a special edition commemorating the Elite i20’s first anniversary, we expect Hyundai to make an official announcement very soon. Prices of the diesel and petrol variants have already been listed on Hyundai’s official website

Follwing are the ex-showroom, Delhi prices of the Elite i20 Special Edition:
- Petrol: INR 6,69,166
- Diesel: INR 7,84,084
This means the Celebration Edition will be available with the mid-level Sportz trim at a premium of INR 29,990 over the standard car.

Features
As is the case with most special editions, the i20 Celebration edition will come with a slew of minor cosmetic additions. These include:
- Glossy black roof wrap
- Sportย pedals
- Body graphics
- Special badging on the bootlid
- Blacked out window frame
- Hyundai could also equip the Celebration with a new touchscreen, but that is yet to be confirmed

This edition will only be available in the white paint shade and should start retailing through dealerships across the country very soon. These changes will find their way to the Sportz trim of the Elite i20. Interiors could also get minor changes in the form of new upholstery, etc., but that is just speculation at the moment.
