TVS Zeplin and Creon concepts at ongoingย 2018 Auto Expo preview a Sports Cruiser and a sporty electric scooter

TVS intends to launch a cruiser in the 300cc segment slated to compete with the likes of Royal Enfield Bullet 500, UM Renegade etc. Another great news from the automaker would be the sports electric scooter named Creon concept. TVS Zeplin Concept – Specifications
TVS Zeplin Concept demonstrates the future of hybrid two-wheelers. The Zeplin houses a 220cc gasoline motor that comes mated to a 1,200W electric motor. The concept is quite visually appealing thanks to its low stance, full LED headlight and chunky 41mm front forks. The concept bike features analogue plus digital combo instrument cluster. The tubeless tyres are provided by Pirelli which sit on 17-inch alloy wheels. Another appealing feature of the Zeplin Concept is what TVS calls the “Bio-Key” that allows the customer access to various functions remotely. The concept also offers an HD camera and an infotainment unit with cloud access for storing various sort of data.
TVS Creon Concept – Specifications
The second concept showcased by TVS is an electric sports scooter named Creon. The concept scooter features the next-gen electric motor that propels the scooter to 100 kph from standstill in just 5.1 seconds. Comparing that number to the existing petrol powered scooters in the market right now, no one and I repeat, not even a single scooter in the Indian market can match that figure as of now. The company claims a range of 80 km in aย single charge. The charging itself is quite fast as the battery charges to 80 percent in just 60 minutes. You obviously will require investing in a proper fast charger and its infrastructure. The Creon Concept scooter looks really edgy and sporty, in line with the company’s design theme. What appears like a scooter from the front, surprisingly looks like a premium sports bike from the rear. The engineers at TVS, if you are reading this, pat your back for me for you have created something visually appealing by mixing the exact two far ends of the two-wheeler industry.
