TVS Radeon has achieved a milestone, as it crosses the 1 Lakh sales unit mark. The commuter motorcycle was launched back in August 2018.
TVS launched its premium-looking commuter motorcycle, Radeon in August 2018. Since the launch, it has seen a good demand, helping it achieve the 1 Lakh sales unit mark.
For the month of February 2019, around 19,000 units of TVS Radeon were sold in India. A month previous to that also had similar sales figures, with the average sales above 15000 units per month.
Radeon finds its biggest competitor in Hero Splendor, which makes nearly 2 Lakh units every month. So, leaving that, it is the second best-selling 110cc motorcycle in India.

Radeon gets a 109.7cc Duralife engine, that is capable of producing 8.4 BHP and 8.7 Nm of peak torque, with the motor mated to a 4-speed gearbox. It uses the heel-toe gear shifter.
The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 10 Litres, including reserve capacity. TVS Radeon claims to offer fuel economy of 69.3 kmpl, but we managed to extract nearly 72 kmpl on the bike.
For suspension purposes, Radeon uses telescopic suspension at the front and 5-step adjustable shock-absorbers at the back. Braking is handled by 130mm drum brakes at the front and 110mm drum brakes at the back.

Features onboard include a classic instrument console, small luggage rack at the back, thigh pads, a large seat, LED DRLs and USB charging port as an additional accessory.
Colour options offered on the TVS Radeon include White, Beige, Black and Purple. It also gets chrome inserts on the engine guard, headlamp cover and the exhaust muffler.
Priced at Rs 48,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), it goes against Hero Splendor, Bajaj Discover 110, Yamaha Saluto and Honda Dream Yuga.
