Tata Altroz is set to launch in mid-July and it will be made available in Two Petrol and One diesel engine option. This will be the second car from Tata, after Harrier, to follow Impact 2.0 Design Structure.

Earlier we reported you that Tata Altroz was caught on the Leh Manali highway alongside Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Tata was reportedly testing the Altroz for the high altitude testing. Now a new video is surfacing the internet where a fleet of Tata cars including Altroz, BS-VI Nexon, facelift Tiago and Tigor have been spied in Drass.

Tata Motors have also announced that they will launch the Atlroz in mid-July. It will be the first premium hatchback from the Indian manufacturer which will compete against the likes of Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Elite i20 and the recently launched Toyota Glanza.

Talking about the powertrains for the Tata Altroz, it will come in a total of three engine options, two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine borrowed from the Nexon will be de-tuned to make 90 bhp and the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre from Tiago will churn out 84 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque.

The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine will also be shared from the Nexon. However, power figures are not yet confirmed for the same. When launched, the petrol motor will be mated to both manual and automatic transmission while the diesel will remain to stick shift only.

Tata Altroz was also spied during a TVC shoot recently and the clear images of the exteriors in production form could be seen. On the interiors, it features a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. Furthermore, it will get a flat bottom steering wheel, automatic climate control, keyless entry and more features. The car will sit on 16-inch alloy wheels.

Following the upcoming BS-VI Nexon, Tiago and Tigor, all these cars are expected to see the highlights of the Impact 2.0 Design theme as seen on Harrier and the upcoming Altroz. Though the split headlight design will be missed out, they will surely get an agile grille up front, along with revised front and rear bumpers. The taillights of the cars will be tweaked as well along with some minor changes to the interiors.
