New Mahindra Mojo ABS Spied; To Get BS-6 Compliant Engine!

Reportedly, the new Mahindra Mojo ABS will be a combined version of the XT and UT variants, replacing both of them as well. It has been spied at a dealer.

Mahindra Mojo has not been updated with the mandatory ABS yet. Speculations said that it might be discontinued in India, owing to the poor sales over the years. However, it was recently spied in India, denying its discontinuation.

Reportedly, the new Mahindra Mojo ABS will come only in a single variant. As of now, it comes in the XT and UT 300 variants, the latter being the base variant. Both came with slightly different parts and UT 300 produces less power.

The fresh spy shots confirm that the new version will indeed look the same. It carries a power-cruiser/roadster appeal with muscular creases and the large tank shroud. Although, it is a fusion of both the variants.

It gets the brushed metal exhaust from the UT 300, a single step-up seat, split grab rail, engine cowl and the semi-digital instrument console. The console still seems to be a bit outdated with an analogue tachometer and the digital readout showing basic information.

The new Mahindra Mojo ABS will continue with the same 300cc liquid-cooled engine, that produces 27 BHP and 30 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine comes on the XT300, as the UT variant produces 4 BHP lesser.

It uses telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back, which is taken from the base-spec UT 300. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a dual-channel ABS as standard.

The Mojo also gets new set of tires, different from both the variants. The XT came with Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires and the UT got MRF Zappers. But, we can see Pirelli Angel CT tires over here, which are definitely more premium.

The new Mojo will continue to rival the likes of Bajaj Dominar, Jawa Motorcycles and RE Classic 350. In an earlier report, we got to know that it might actually be priced around Rs 2.2 Lakhs (on-road).
