2020 Hyundai Creta Spotted In India – Spy Shots Leaked

The next-gen Hyundai Creta cascading grille is now bigger than before and follows split light design, both at the front profile and the rear.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta is the much-anticipated product which will launch early next year in India. The SUV which shares its platform with the Kia Seltos, will pack more features on the inside and will pack a whole new exterior design.

The next-gen Hyundai Creta will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, India and the SUV was spied at Salem, Tamil Nadu. The car was spotted with a complete camouflage and it does look somewhat similar to the ix25 shown at Shanghai Motor Show.

For starters, the SUVs grille upfront will be massive, just like the Venue. The cascading grille gets some altered design that the ix25. It will continue to get a split headlamp cluster with LED DRLs placed on top and projector lights placed at the bottom of the bumper. The front bumper will see a fresh pair of fog lights and a faux skid plate which adds a modern touch.

The sides will see squared wheel arches and dual-tone alloy wheels. It gets no character lines except for the rear fender to the side profile. The rear will also see a similar split light design like seen at the front. It also gets body cladding running throughout the car.

There are no interior shots spotted but we can tell you that the cabin inside will see a plethora of changes. It will sport a new dashboard design along with a new multi-function steering wheel. The upholstery on the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be improved and so will new features will be added.

The next-gen Creta will also get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with lates BlueLink Technology, seen on the Venue. For those asking, then the BlueLink helps you to Remote Start/Stop/Door Lock-Unlock/Climate Control/Light Control can be operated along with it provides you with the Real-Time Navigation, Vehicle Theft and Destination Set in Link.

Since the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta shares the same platform, it is safe to say that the next-gen Creta will use similar 1.5L petrol and diesel engines. The power figures for the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor and the oil burner remains the same at 115 bhp. The torque figure comes out at 144 Nm and 250Nm respectively.

A turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine from the Hyundai Venue can be seen for those looking for a performance-oriented SUV. Transmission options are likely to be a 6-speed manual as standard plus 6-speed AT for diesel, CVT gearbox for the 1.5L petrol and a 7-speed DCT gearbox for turbocharged petrol.

Also, the latest platform on which the Creta sits can be further used as a 7-seat configuration. However, we can only see the 7-seat Creta by 2021. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier 7 seater and MG Hector 7 seater and Mahindra XUV500.
